Vel Dhinagaravel is the CEO and President of Beroe and has been the driving force behind the company’s evolution from a start-up to a global enterprise with a robust team of over 700 professionals.
Beroe, founded in 2006, is the culmination of a study Vel conducted in 2004 as part of his Master’s, involving Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) from fifty Fortune 500 companies. The study revealed that a significant concern of these CPOs was the significant asymmetry in the amount of reliable market intelligence their teams had access to relative to the sales teams of their suppliers.
With a vision to address this critical issue, Vel established Beroe with the mission of being “The future of procurement intelligence.” Under his leadership, Beroe has become a strategic partner to its clients, seamlessly integrating with their procurement functions to provide unparalleled intelligence, insights and risk management solutions.
Before founding Beroe, Vel amassed extensive experience in procurement and supply chain consulting, working with over 30 Fortune 500 companies. Vel’s commitment to excellence and innovation continues to drive Beroe’s success and influence in the global market intelligence and procurement landscape.
He holds an MSc (Hons) in Chemistry and a BE (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani, and a Master’s in Operations Research, from North Carolina State University.
